Implant Crowns
Dental implants are a natural-looking artificial tooth placed in the mouth to counter tooth loss. Whether due to a sports-related injury, tooth decay, excessive wear and tear, or periodontal disease, a dental implant can replace a single tooth or several teeth in your mouth.
Implants are considered a very conservative form of treatment. This is because, unlike bridges, dentures or partials, implants preserve existing teeth in the mouth. Most importantly, they help maintain bone structure, which is vital to the health of every tooth in your mouth.
While there are many restorative options available for missing teeth, dental implants are the preferred treatment method of dentists due to their functionality, durability, and high success rate (implants boast a success rate of 90 to 95 percent). Not only are they stronger than other tooth replacement options, implants also offer increased stability, a better ability to chew, and an improved ability to taste food.
While most general dentists feel uncomfortable doing implant surgery themselves and prefer to refer their patients out to oral surgeons making their patients incur higher expenses, Dr. Ernafasov has invested heavily into training and equipment and is able to place most posterior implants of low and medium difficulty himself.

Crowns & Bridges
Crowns (or caps) are dental restorations that are placed over a tooth when conservative restorations are insufficient to restore form and function.
A bridge serves to replace a missing tooth or teeth. One type of bridge consists of crowns placed on either side of the missing tooth to connect the replacement tooth or teeth to them.
Another type of bridge consists of the replacement tooth attached to the adjacent teeth with wing-like appendages. Bridges can also be supported by dental implants. Crowns and bridges can be made entirely of tooth-colored material, metal, or a combination to provide optimal aesthetics. Some metal-free crowns and bridges incorporate stress-bearing materials to enhance their strength and wear-resistance.

Gum Contouring
Many people have teeth that look too "short" due to the relationship between their teeth and gums. This creates a "gummy" smile.
Gum contouring removes some of the tissue to eliminate a “gummy” smile. Gum Contouring involves trimming away excess gum tissue with a special laser which also seals blood vessels, keeping bleeding at a minimum. After the procedure takes place, the gum is left to heal and the results are most often immediate. In some cases where more gum tissue is removed, the healing process may take longer.
Ultimately this procedure creates a consistent even gum line that results in a better looking smile.

Root canal (endodontic) treatment
This type of treatment is necessary when a tooth cavity with its caries causing bacteria reach the the center of the tooth where the nerve is located. During the treatment, the nerve and internal blood vessels are removed, and the canals that contained them are thoroughly shaped and disinfected. The canals are filled with a special resin and the tooth is filled with a dental filling material. Frequently, the tooth will require an eventual crown, as it becomes very fragile following loss of the nourishing blood vessels and significant tooth structure. Many general dentists will not do root canals at all and will only do easy cases, sending their patients to more expensive specialists. While we do refer very difficult cases out, Dr. Ernafasov loves doing endodontic treatment and will successfully treat overwhelming majority of our patients' cases.

Smile Design/Veneers
When designing your ideal smile we can assure you that your concerns will be included in every step of the process. Porcelain veneers are a beautiful way to correct discolored, worn, chipped, or misaligned teeth. Veneers are thin, custom-made shells crafted of tooth-colored materials designed to cover the front side of teeth.
There are many benefits and advantages to having porcelain veneers placed on your teeth. One of the greatest advantages is that only a small amount of tooth structure is removed during the procedure resulting in a healthy “natural” look with little or no discomfort during the procedure.
Dr.Tim Ernafasov can provide you with the bright, straight, and natural looking smile you have always desired.

Periodontal Treatment
Periodontal disease is a gum disease with potentially serious general health implications. Besides becoming number one reason for tooth loss in adults in the US, periodontitis has been linked with cardiovascular disease, strokes, and other systemic health issues. As such, Dr. Ernafasov views this disease as a general health risk and treats it agressively. After evaluating your oral health, we will work with you to determine the treatment options that best meet your needs. If periodontal disease is the problem, the treatment can vary widely depending on how far the diseases have progressed. If caught in the early stages, simple procedures are done that will remove the plaque and calculus from below the gum line and disrupt the infection-causing bacteria. We will incourage use of latest technological advances such as laser assisted periodontal treatment that are generally not offerred in most clinics in this country. Our hygienists are trained in the use of lasers specifically for the purpose of combating periodontal disease. If these diseases have advanced to the point where the periodontal pockets are deep and the supporting bone is lost, more agressive, surgical therapy may become necessary which we may perform here or refer it out to periodontist depending on the difficulty.

Oral Cancer Screening
Oral cancer screenings are a routine part of Dr. Tim Ernafasov dental examinations. Regular check-ups, including an examination of the entire mouth, are essential in the early detection of cancerous and pre-cancerous conditions. Oral Cancer often starts as a tiny, unnoticed white or red spot or sore anywhere in the mouth. It can affect any area of the oral cavity including the lips, gum tissue, cheek lining, tongue and the hard of soft palate. Although most of these areas are harmless, some are not. Our hygienist screens for oral cancer during routine dental cleaning appointments.

Fluoride treatments help all teeth and help to prevent decay and sensitivity in both children and adults.

Bone Grafting
Bone Grafting is the replacement or augmentation of the bone around the teeth. It is necessary to reverse the bone loss or destruction caused by periodontal disease, trauma, or ill fitting removable dentures. It is also used to augment bone to permit implant placement. When one loses a tooth, or has a tooth extracted, the surrounding bone collapses. To preserve this bone for future implant placement or for esthetics, a bone graft is used. While most general dentists would prefer to refer this procedure to oral surgeons, Dr. Ernafasov has been trained to perform most of the low to medium difficulty bone grafting cases eliminating the need for expensive trips to specialists.
